Positive examples and concepts that were applied in the U.S.A, UK and EU will not fully respond if we make a copy and implement it in Serbia. In fact, such approach will not always achieve adequate results. The FM concept for HSG zander in Serbia should be adjusted to the needs of the local environment (characteristics of local culture and context), legislative base, as well as of facility features. Therefore, the customization of existing models is an optimal solution when any of the concepts or others` experiences in the field of FM are analyzed or applied in Serbia. At the first glance, FM seems to be completely new in Serbia. However, some forms of FM always existed regardless of political system or ownership forms (private, state, public, mixed). Nevertheless, implementation of FM is still required and expected for the majority of existing buildings in use. In addition, the increasing presence of international companies offers a promising new market for the FM business.
